Windows 10: "Microsoft Defender Antivirus" using LOTS of energy, heating up CPU incredibly!

Dear Microsoft,As many users have reported, i become the victim to high CPU powerdraw by Microsoft Defender Antivirus on the CPU.I've tried several things, such as whitelisting folders and files, disabling "Realtime Beveiliging" in Dutch. The only solution to stop this high power usage is by disabling Realtime Beveiliging, or installing a 3rd-party Anti-virus software.This all started happening when i migrated from Windows 10 to Windows 11.Now, keep in mind my PC has high specs, and it's a shame that one bitty pitty piece of software manages to increase my CPU temp from 37 Celcius to 65 Celc

Thanks for taking the time to help out.

I ran the "Defender Offline scan" as you suggested, after doing a disk clean-up.

Unfortunately the "Defender Antivirus Service is still using a lot of CPU? I think it needs a more technical tool.

Microsoft Defender VS Microsoft Defender Antivirus?

Today, I uninstalled the Microsoft Defender app on my device.

However, in Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Security providers, Microsoft Defender Antivirus is listed as my Antivirus.

When I click on "Open app" for Microsoft Defender Antivirus, it just redirects me to Windows Security > Virus & threat protection.

1. Is Microsoft Defender Antivirus different from the Microsoft Defender app?

2. Is my device still being protected?

For context, I do not have any third party antivirus programs installed on my device right now,

and I never signed into the Microsoft Defender app with my Microsoft account,

nor do I have a Microsoft 365 subscription.
