    Few days ago, I was browsing the internet and suddenly a message appeared asking me to send some files to microsoft defender. The first time this message came, I just ignored it but my suspicions rose when immediately after that message disappeared, it came again rapidly. So I clicked on Review Files and it showed me the files that I had to send. Initially i thought it was fine because my computer had actually been slow and stuck from time to time for about 3 weeks or so and Microsoft was just taking action for it. Even after i read the files needed, i ignored it but i accidentally clicked sen

    I suggest you to follow the steps provided below:

    Method 1: Make the “Windows defender Service” startup type to “Automatic”.

    • Press “Windows key + R” from keyboard.
    • Type “services.msc” without quotes in the “Run” Window and hit enter.
    • Search for “Windows Defender Service”.
    • Make “Startup Type” to “Automatic”.
    • Restart the computer and then check how it works.

    Method 2: Run a SFC (System File Checker) Scan by following the steps provided below.

    • Right click on Start button and select “Command Prompt (Admin)”.
    • Type “sfc /scannow” and press Enter.
    • After the scan is complete, type “exit” and press Enter.

    Also, would like to inform that if other antivirus is running in the computer, Windows Defender will be disabled.
