Windows 10: Microsoft Defender installed on Laptop Norton 360 on Computer. Why has Norton Safe Search...

I have Microsoft Defender on my laptop. On my husband desktop computer has Norton 360. Question, Norton has shown up as Safe Search as an extension. I no longer have Microsoft Edge when I start my laptop. Tlhank you

windows defender mcaffee and norton

I have mcaffee and Norton 360 on my computer.

I have clicked over to windows defender.

when I click on mcaffee or Norton 360 nothing seems to happen.

do I still need them ?

can I run them separate to windows defender?

or are they now surplus as windows defender is all I need

if I were to unsubscribe to mcaffee and Norton

would my Norton safe search still work

Norton 360 includes a back-up facility. Windows 10 provides a back-up facility although it isn't part of Defender.

Norton 360 includes a firewall. Windows 10 provides a firewall although it isn't part of Defender.

Norton 360 includes protection against malware. Defender provides protection against malware.
