Windows 10: Microsoft Defender is blocking Quicken from downloading bank transactions into my Quicken...

Hi,


I have to disable Windows security Firewall and Network Protection in order to get my bank transactions to download from the browser to Quicken Deluxe. I'm on the latest version of Quicken and Windows 10.


It took a long time to find out why it wasn't working. Can this be reported? Is there any way to fix this?

Quicken & other bank transaction downloads

Downloads of bank transactions no longer work with latest version of Windows 10 Internet Explorer. At first I blamed the Banking software & even Quicken but I discovered they DO work if I use Google to connect. Hence, problem is with Windows 10 Internet
software. Anyone know how to fix this?

 

Download old Transactions from online bank account to Quicken 2016

I am new to Quicken 2016 and want to start with FY 2015 bank account transactions. My bank will allow back to May, 2015, but I have not been able to convert the bank's excel or pdf downloads into the .QFX to import to Quicken.

The error message is OL-221-A.

What antivirus and/or other security program are you running?

Are you, when you have the problem, trying to download transactions from a bank or are you using Quickens One Step Update?

If a bank, have you checked Account details to verify that name, password, account number, etc. are still correct?

Check this setting:

Internet Options> Security> Internet Zone> Custom level> File download> Enable.

Don
