Windows 10: Microsoft Defender Preview claims I have reached my device limit

So, I have factory reset my machine, and I checked the devices that are connected to both Microsoft and the Microsoft Store, and I have removed a bunch of devices I no longer use, but Defender Preview is still throwing this claim at me, even after restarting my machine.

Same here. Got mail from Microsoft Team Advice (?): "It looks like you've reached your device limit for installing apps and games from the Store on your Windows 10 device. If you want to install apps and games from the Store on another Windows 10 device,
remove a device from the device list." Have only one device on my device list - the one I´m using (Lenovo laptop). Cannot install new app. What to do?

Not sure where to put this but I have just received an email from ms saying I have reached the device limit for my ms account after installing win 10. On the list is a vm which I have removed and a 64 bit version of win 8.1 which is on another account. What is this all about says I am limited in the store.

Log into OneDrive and check the list of PC's you have installed W10 on since becoming an insider, then just delete a few, (or all)
