Windows 10: Microsoft Defender showing black page

    I recently factory reset my hp victus laptop and now I can't open my Microsoft Defender. When I try to open it it just shows a black page i have tried many different fixes and none of them worked please help

    I understand that you are trying to set the starting page for the Microsoft Edge of your preferred web pages. We will help you.

    I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps you.

    • Open Microsoft Edge.
    • Click on the ". . ." at the top right corner. Select Settings.
    • Under Open Microsoft Edge with. Select Specific pages.
    • Set the webpages and Save.

    Hi,

    I appreciate your interest on Windows 10.

    I suggest you to follow the steps below:

    • Type defender in the search box.
    • Click on update.
    • Check for the date on which defender is being updated.
    • If the recent date is mentioned then it will not show in the Automatic Updates.
    • Also click on update definition and check if any update is pending.

    Defender updates no longer shown

    Sorry but I just want to see Defender updates listed in my update history. Updates for office 2010 etc are shown so why not Windows Defender?
