Windows 10: Microsoft Designer Keyboard - cannot find way to enable fn lock

I recently acquired a new keyboard, the Microsoft Designer Keyboard, and I noticed it doesn't have a fn lock key visible on the keyboard. As suggested by Microsoft support articles and community discussions, I've tried to enable fn lock by holding the fn key and caps lock at the same time or by holding fn key and Esc key at the same time but neither worked.Looking at both of the manuals that Microsoft has on its website for this specific keyboard, neither provide any real instructions on how to use the keyboard beyond general setup. Laptop FN Lock?

My boss has a Sony Vaio VGN-AR190G, it seems like FN lock is on, because when he types certain letters that have numbers when pushed with the function key, it types numbers instead of letters. I do not even see a function lock key on this keyboard. I'm not really sure what to do. I've tried googling the issue but haven't come up with a solution. There was a wireless keyboard plugged into the laptop for awhile, I checked that one for a FN lock key and it doesn't have one either.

 

FN lock in Windows 10

I'm trying to enable the FN lock in Windows 10 on an ASUS laptop. The FN+caps lock doesn't work. Is there another way that I can lock the FN key?

 

Notebook keyboard locked?

I FN'ed every key on that keyboard. I think it must be some kind of key combination that locks and unlocks the keyboard. But I found nothing.
