  1. Microsoft dictation eventually overwrites previous sentence - how can I stop this?

Pressing the windows button and H activates dictation - it works GREAT until it doesn't. After a while of using it, the problem arises where a previously dictated sentence is overwritten by the newest sentence that is dictated. I have tried every suggested fix, and the only one that works is to exit out of everything, restart the computer, and start over. WHY does it stop working?????

    :)

    Sentence Speed In Dictation

    Hello all,

I just came back from a year abroad in France - cut short due to corona Microsoft dictation eventually overwrites previous sentence - how can I stop this? :( - and understand that if I don't continue speaking, I will lose the language skills I have. And so, I'm trying to set up the dictation setting where I talk, the microphone picks up
what I'm saying and converts it to text. However, the homework I'm doing in French involves complicated vocabulary and sometimes I have to stop and search for it ; sadly, when I pause to think about the word, the dictation thinks I have finished my sentence
    and starts a new one.

For example, my sentence would look somethingLike this, with a new sentence starting because I took a slight pause after saying the word "something". Is there any way to lengthen the time I get to continue with my sentence or do I just have to talk faster?

    Thanks,

    Sasha

P.S. This is my first time posting a question on the Windows forums, sorry if I did something wrong haha

    Dictation hanging after first sentence.

I'm using Windows 10's integrated speech recognition and dictation with a text editor. Recognizing that the editor is itself unsupported, I can activate dictation, speak a sentence (For example: "Testing testing 123" and pause. The text will appear perfectly
correctly in the text field. I will then attempt a second sentence (For example: "testing testing 456") and get no response. The cursor in the application is correctly place, and the application is functioning other wise. But after I pause, it seems dictation
does not continue. And, the dictation bar is otherwise still present and correct (it even prompts me to say "stop dictation" if I'm done).

This makes dictation useless for long form writing. Is there some setting I am missing, or otherwise some feature issue not well documented?
