Windows 10: Microsoft Drivers

I am very frustrated with Microsoft! After a Windows 10 update,my computer was freezing up and certain devises weren't working. Unknowing that this was an update issue,I did a refresh on my computer.I know that it tells you that you will lose Microsoft Office along with other apps, but I am frustrated because I lost these (expensive) apps when I didn't need to! Had I known that the issues were cause my Micro, I would never have done a refresh! It wasn't until I went to the Microsoft community, that i learned that these issues were because of update(s)!I lost apps that i use frequently because of Microsoft! I can not believe that Microsoft can't send out some sort of notice of problems with recent updates, so that people like me, who do not understand a lot about updates and patches, don't turn to such drastic measures in order to use their computer again. I am completely irritated with Microsoft and their lack of customer service! Now I am out numerous apps like Microsof office that I used frequently as well as my scanner!​

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

 

Windows update keeps replacing ALPS Touchpad driver with a Synaptics driver.

I suggest you to uninstall and delete the previous drivers and the latest drivers for the touchpad and install the required version of the driver from Device Manager by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager from the list.
• Expand the Touch pad driver.
• Right click on the driver and click on update/install.
• Select the required version from the on-screen prompts.

And for the problem with the installation of printer drivers, I suggest you to run the Windows Update troubleshooter by following the steps below:

• Type “Troubleshooting” in search box and press Enter.
• Click on “View All” option on top left pane.
• Select “Windows Update” from the list and follow the prompts for troubleshooting.
