Fact is that you have a problem somewhere. Your scenario is unheard of.

    Hi,

IME IE11 only started to crash since Edge was introduced and it's getting worse with every single upgrade of W10. Edge is pretty useless for professional use.

    Just my opinion though.

  3. Yeah I really have never had issues with IE11 on Windows 8.1 or 7. And even on Windows 10 TP and 10240 it ran well (I will say for a Metro app, Edge ran nice, but even then, I didn't mind IE on Metro either.)

In fact, the only time I recall IE 11 giving me ANY sort of trouble was when I added AbBlock Plus to it as an add-on, but that was my doing.

I am still running Windows 7 and use predominantly IE. I never had a problem.

You can never get a second chance at a first impression. IMHO MS should have waited before releasing Edge to the general public. It's still to early in the development stage. As far as I'm concerned Edge belongs in the Insider Program and not in the RTM version of Win 10. If Edge fails MS can only blame themselves.

  7. I never had any issue running Edge myself when I tried it. Maybe the question should be, "What is hTconeM9user doing right that makes his Edge implementation work better than IE?"

Let's say Edge is "work in progress".

  10. So are you using the Safari for Windows that was out up to a couple years ago? I tried it on XP and really liked it a lot. Does it still work well?

  11. Agreed.

It's not like browsers are a new product.
MS must have ~20 years worth of data relating to IE.

  12. It's sites like CBS Chicago where I really miss not having a modern "Back" button that allows going back to certain viewed pages..or that website's home page. Something about news sites in particular (which I use a lot of in my job) that prevents Edge from returning to the front page, once you click on a story to read. To be fair, this also happens with I.E. and Firefox, but at least those browsers allow the direct access to visited pages, via the "back" button, which Edge lacks.

It's a shame that I have to remember to use IE-11 or Firefox when visiting news and newspaper websites. Then, there's the print function of Edge, which works like it was designed by 3rd graders...

It's no wonder that Microsoft Edge keeps losing users. Edge hasn't "lost" me yet, but FireFox and I.E.11 are getting more hours of use, while Edge is getting fewer hours of use, as time goes by.

For me Edge has just about gained me as a user, Have been using it nearly all the time since beginning of December (have multiple MS devices so syncing of favourites is nice)

For me, its the look/feel of it I don't like, on a desktop is looks too much like it was designed for tablet use, and on a small tablet it looks like it was designed for mouse use
I know I am mostly alone with this bit, but desktop IE for PC's and Metro IE for tablets in Win 8.1 was much nicer and fitted the device it was being used on better

  14. I have no idea
All I have done is remove all traces of IE 11 and I don't have any other Browser installed and we only use Bing for search.
Also keep all systems updated with latest drivers
    Run Ccleaner Monitoring in background
Have done that since first upgrade from windows 8.1
