Windows 10: Microsoft Edge functionality is so Bad went Back to Chrome

I have tried really hard to get used to Edge and use it with Windows 10 but the functionality is just so bad I have finally gone back to Chrome, despite how much I dislike Google tracking everything I do.


Half of the streaming cameras for road conditions and traffic don't work on edge, a whole bunch of online forms won't run on it, copying a picture to post is 5 steps instead on one, and the list goes on forever. You can't even reload a page with a right mouse click, you have to go to the top of the page and press the reload symbol.


Microsoft really needs to get it together or they aren't going to be in the browser business at all.

microsoft edge keyboard not functioning, but keyboard works with Chrome and FireFox

Today when I attempt to use microsoft edge as a browser my keyboard is not functioning on the search line, but the keyboard works fine when I use either Chrome or FireFox as my browser.

I had to use Chrome to access this question forum.

Anyone have a suggested solution or reason for why Edge is being funky?

Edge Import Bookmarks from Chrome does not work

Hi,

To resolve your issue with Microsoft Edge, we suggest that you clear your browsing data. Please follow the steps below:

• Click on the 3 dots at the upper right corner of Edge.
• Go to Settings.
• Go to Clear browsing data.
• Click on Choose what to clear > Clear.
• Try to import your bookmarks from Chrome to Microsoft Edge.

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
