Windows 10: Microsoft Edge Startup Page Profile Picture

Hi,

The upper right profile picture on the default Startup Page of Microsoft Edge doesn't update.
It keeps displaying the first profile picture I used when I installed Windows 10.

Maybe it's a detail for most of the people but being a nitpicker, and not being given any option to modify it directly (and it should be tied to the Microsoft Account (which I use to login on Windows 10 as well as on Windows 10 Mobile) anyway, right?) it really bothers me!

All my other (tied to Microsoft account) profile pictures, on my phone (Nokia 1020/909) as well as on the online Microsoft services and Windows 10 update correctly, almost instantly, but not this one.

Is that a known issue?
Do you guys have an idea of how to fix it?

Already tried to reset completely the browser by deleting its install folder and registering the app again, following some instructions I found on the internet, but it didn't work and it even messed up my other apps. Had to do a system restore (which only worked partially if I refer to the pop-up message after I logged on, but my apps are OK now and no other problem for the moment). So, my only "problem" remains in that profile picture which doesn't update in the Microsoft Edge Startup Page.

By the way, do you guys have a valid link to download the WinDbg tool for Windows 10 (not the 8.1 one)?
The official one doesn't work. Had found one that was working but I can't find it again. Got some random BSOD, probably tied to (a)faulty RAM stick(s), but I need to do further investigations, and the system restore deleted the tool installation.

You change the Homepage in Internet Explorer 11 the same way as previous versions.

Internet Options> (General tab)> Home page.

As you say the picture you refer to should update automatically with your MS account. If this is not happening the cache file for that page may be corrupted. In Edge you can try clearing your cache data and files from the Settings menu, via the Clear Browsing Data section. The other thing to try is to check that you have the Sync settings turned on for Internet Explorer. This is found in the main W10 Settings->Accounts->Sync your settings page. Although it says IE it also works for Edge.

Regarding your memory; a better memory test is Memtest86+ - check the tutorial here: MemTest86+ - Test RAM

Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately, I already tried all that and my Sync settings are activated.

About my potential RAM issues, I already know the MemTest software but thanks.
I still would like to find the WinDbg tool for Windows 10 again, to read the DMP files.
I also already know the BlueScreenView software but I don't read the same things in these both programs.

Well, gonna clean reinstall Windows 10 for the 6th time in less than one week now. A lot of things aren't working correctly, once again. Changed my account to a local one, following some instructions I found here on this forum. The Microsoft Edge Starting Page Profile Picture went then back to the default one. And then linked again my Microsoft account. Result, the wrong profile picture is again displayed. And Onedrive doesn't work at all anymore. Very disappointed with this OS for now. I mean, it is very fast and reactive but there is a lot of beta quality stuff and inconsistencies everywhere. And a lot of errors in the Event Viewer even after a full clean reinstall. I have never seen that.

OK, after a new clean install (using an UEFI installation this time (damn, I learned a lot today)), my picture problem is gone. Think it's time for some shopping and upgrading however. My motherboard seems to be failing. My RAM sticks are probably OK but while I tried to test every possible combination in the different ports, I couldn't isolate the problem (detection of the RAM is totally random, couldn't isolate a faulty stick nor a faulty port, so it seems to be a more "deep" problem) and now the motherboard only detects 16 Go of RAM of the 32 Go which are installed. Gonna change the motherboard then, and the processor I think...
