    Microsoft Edge still using old icon in Start Menu, how to change?


    Title. MS Edge is using its legacy icon in Start Menu list but when I open it, the taskbar shows the new icon. How do I change the Start icon to the new one (if possible)? Thanks in advance!

    Need old Windows Start menu

    Hi,

    I realize that you need the old Windows start menu. I will try to help you with this issue.

    You can click the hash icon located above the 3D Builder icon to check if that helps.

    Suggest you to follow these steps to check if that helps:


    • Press Windows key + I to get the Settings screen.

    • Click on Personalization and click Start.

    • Enable the feature for “use start full screen”.

    Edge Icon in the Start Menu is still the Old One...

    Right click on the icon. Select More->Open File Location.

    Right click on the shortcut and select Properties.
    Click the Change Icon button. It should open a list of the new icons to select.
    Select the icon and click OK then click Apply then OK.

    Start menu default internet acces icon screwed?

    You generally set that via the Start Menu settings (right-click start menu -> properties).

    I had that issues a while ago, and it meant removing it from the Start Menu, and reinstalling my browser to get the icon back, it was very odd.
