Microsoft Edge Taking up 70% of my memory??

Alright, so yesterday for some reason Microsoft edge all the sudden became very slow (about the same speed as a non gaming pc) and then I looked in task manager and it said that edge was taking up 80% of my memory with 4 TABS open. I did a virus scan and apparently according to mcafee nothing is wrong (yes I know mcafee is bad according to most people). So I come back today and while getting on for school I have the same issue again, I have not downloaded any apps or anything at all in at least a week. So I dont know what the problem is, could anyone help?

  10. Edge takes up huge amounts of memory

    in Browsers and Email
Edge takes up huge amounts of memory: At times my computer bogs down horribly.* Loading Taskmanager, which can take several minutes, shows Edge taking up 1gb of memory (more or less).* It is usually 100mb or so. I have two other computers using Edge, and they seem fine. Is there any fix for this? 70674
