    Fortunately on my desktop somehow I do not have Microsoft Edge Webview2On a relatives low spec Lenovo 110 Windows 10 Home - Microsoft Edge Webview2 is constantly hogging 50% to 70% of CPU.No surprise Programs does not offer an option to removeI have spent hours trying to find how to minimise this.Preference would be to disable it or at least minimise its CPU use.This laptop uses ZERO windows apps or Windows 365 - it is only used for web browsing + MS Word and Excel 2010 Advice please

  3. Microsoft Edge WebView2: do I REALLY need it?

    In the Microsoft Edge WebView2 control documentation, you can see that WebView2 is used to show web technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) in native apps.

    Uninstalling the WebView2 should not corrupt the OS, in the worst case if open an app that needs the WebView2 you will see a blank page, or only this app will crash.
