Windows 10: Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard stops working randomly but not the mouse nor number pad

I have a Microsoft Sculpt ergonomic wireless keyboard for a few months now. I run Windows 11. I did the last update on my computer yesterday and since then the keyboard randomly stops working. I tried using the solutions on this thread https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/microsoft-sculpt-wireless-keyboard-intermittent/576defc3-634a-4a6a-9793-230dcc447f77 from 2018, but nothing works. It's the same issue : I have to remove the batteries, wait a bit, put them back in and the keyboard works again. When the keyboard doesn't work, the number pad still does as

The keyboard of Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop Wireless stopped but the numeric pad and mouse still works. I saw the issue was brought up in the web but did not work for him.

I'd appreciate any help on this problem.

I understand that you are unable to use Number pad on the Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard 4000, we will look into this for you. However, please reply with the following details to assist you further:

• Do you see a light glowing when you press the NUM Lock key?
  

You can try downloading the Mouse and Keyboard Center 11 from
Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 and see if you have the option to enable the number pad.

Unable to enable Number pad in Ergonomic 4000 keyboard

I am trying to set up my Ergonomic 4000 keyboard but I cannot work out how to activate the number pad. I have tried the number lock key but that is not having any affect.
