Windows 10: Microsoft Excel has stopped working

My computer shows the following display when I try to open either Excel or Word.


A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available


As I have already had to have the hard drive replaced on my computer I am worried that something else has gone wrong. I think I have Windows 10 and have only had the computer since October 2018. It is very important for me that the computer and software work so any assistance how to get this resolved would be extremely useful!

Microsoft Excel has stopped working with Windows 10

I just upgraded to Windows 10 Pro. I have an Excel files linked to Quickbook files. I get the message "Microsoft Excel has stopped working". My other Excel files are opening. As a work around, I am using another computer with Windows 8 Pro with the Excel
file.

Any solutions?

 

CSV files used to open in Excel....not now!


Hi, you say Excel is installed. Does it run normally?

You can't find Excel in (an unspecified) list of applications. I don't know which list that is for sure.

For example, in the list related to:
- rt click a file. Open With
- this list:



- this list:




- some other list...

If Excel does not appear in the above, I suggest you repair your office installation.

Maybe the above gives you some ideas. Otherwise please post a screenshot of where you think you should see it but don't. Thanks.
