Windows 10: Microsoft family bug appearing out of nowhere

I randomly started to have some family time limit, my parents did not make any changements and I’m old enough to leave the family which I did yet I still have screen time limits, this did not happen to other members, if II press the button asking a parent for some more time…. I it says I’m not connected to internet which is false, and if I press the button saying my parents are here… it tells me to log into another session because I’m an admin. How do I deal with this, I’m used to working on my computer at night, I can’t do anything with this

This could happen when the child account fails to sync with the server. I suggest you to try the steps listed below and check if it works:

• Open
  File Explorer and navigate to the following location:
• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Parental Controls
  
  
  Note:
  The above mentioned directory is hidden, copy and paste the same location on the search bar in the File Explorer to access it.
  
• Delete the contents in the
  \\settings directory of the Parental Controls folder.
  
• Reboot the machine to see if the issue persists.
  

If the issue persists, you may want to remove the child account from Microsoft family and add it again.

Hi,

It could be because of the settings on the Family and Safety feature or the account you're using is added to a Family. With that being said, we suggest that you check if the account that you are using is a part of the
Family list. To check on it, go to Cortana
and search for Family Options.



To remove your account to the Family, you may follow the steps below:

• Use the Adult account to log in using this link.
• Click on the Family tab.
• On the account that you want to remove, click More > Remove from family.
• Then click Remove to confirm.

Devices Appearing in Microsoft Family

We are seeing devices appearing in Microsoft Family for our son's recent activity (under "Screen Time") that we do not recognize. Two different devices have appeared over the last few weeks, logging a few minutes to a couple of hours of screen time under
our son's account. We've changed our password for the account, but the devices continue to appear. Looking to see what may be the source of this, if it's a possible bug in the Family Safety application, or if someone outside the family is using our son's
account...?

Any ideas?
