Windows 10: Microsoft Family Features Won't Go Away - Stuck Notifications Blocking Apps

Hey everyone,I'm at my wit's end with Microsoft Family Features. I don't use a family account on this computer, and never have, and yet I'm constantly getting notifications and restrictions as if I were part of one. It's blocking me from opening numerous apps, making my computer nearly unusable.Here's what I've tried so farisabled all Family features in Settings: I've gone through every setting I can find related to Family Safety and made sure everything is turned off.Modified the registry: I tried to use gpedit.msc to disable the "Family Safety" service, but I never found it. Microsoft Family Safety is a free parental monitoring app to help make it easier to keep your kids safe online. With Family Safety, you can give them some independence but still keep tabs on their computer activities. Family Safety allows you to:

• See which websites your kids have visited, and which apps and games they’ve used
• Block or allow websites, apps, games, or other content.
• Limit the amount of time they can spend on the PC

questions:

• Is the app blocked under the child account when you set up My Family?

How to block a specific app using family settings

Hi,

Blocking specific apps is possible with the Microsoft Account's Family Safety Feature. To block a specific application on your child's account, it is a requirement that the app must be used by your child, so that it will appear in under the Recent Activity
list. For your child's security, you can log in as the child and launch the app to satisfy this requirement.

Follow these steps to successfully block specific applications:

• Visit the Microsoft Family website and then sign in your Microsoft Account.
• Click the account of the child that you want to block from using an app.
• Select Recent Activity.
• Click to ensure that Activity Reporting is turned on.
• Scroll down and look for Apps & Games.
• Choose the apps that you want to block on your child's account.
• Click Block to block usage of the app.
