Windows 10: Microsoft Family Safety correctly tracks usage of Minecraft Java Edition but does not...

We are using Microsoft family to limit the time our son spends playing Minecraft Java Edition and also using Discord. His usage of both programs is being accurately tracked, and his access to discord is cut off when the time limit expires, but the same does not happen for Minecraft. The limit is exceeded but he can continue to play. Even explicitly blocking access to the app has no effect. The application is identified as wwin32:javaw.exe_dkssfmmmgj3zm!java=com.moonsworth.lunar.patcher.lunarmain. How can I have the app blocked when the time limit is reached?Thank you!Bill

Setting Microsoft Family app limit on Minecraft Java edition

Time spent using Minecraft Java edition doesn't show up in the list of apps used in Microsoft Family. This means you can't set an app limit on it. Minecraft launcher shows up, but it only says it has been used for 1 minute, whereas i know the game has
been played for hours. How can parental controls be applied here? It works for Minecraft Windows 10 edition but not Java.

 

Blocking Minecraft through Family Safety

How do I block and unblock Minecraft through Family Safety? I am running Windows 10. When I ran Windows 8.1 before MS "upgraded" Family Safety just before the launch of Windows 10, I could go into the "Apps" page of Family Safety and easily block and unblock
Minecraft. Ever since MS "upgraded" Family Safety just before (and presumably in preparation for) the release of Windows 10, Minecraft does not show up as an App that can be blocked.

Based on another post, I've blocked Java Runtime, but that does not block Minecraft on my machines.

This is a critical issue, at least for my family. Please help.

Mojang refunds policy and check their refund policy.



If you want to swap your editions of Minecraft that you have purchased, please
Contact Mojang Support and they will help you with this.



If you have purchased Minecraft from Microsoft Store, then I suggest you to refer
Returning items you bought from Microsoft Store for exchange or refund
and check if you can get a refund.



As you need the Java Edition of Minecraft, you can follow the steps mentioned in
How do I install Minecraft: Java Edition? and install
the Java Edition of Minecraft on your computer.



Before purchasing the Java Edition of Minecraft, I suggest you to refer the system requirements for installing the Java Edition of Minecraft from
