  1. Microsoft Family Safety Restricts Website Access, Can't Change Permissions

Hello, I am having issues with Microsoft Family Safety. I am 18+, in a family of 3, and my account permissions are set as an administrator. Yet, on random websites that have no explicit or mature content, my Bing browser blocks my access to the website. Giving me a message that reads "You'll need to ask to use this site. If you want to, just send a request to an adult in your family." Yet my parent has removed all restrictions on my account, webpage security is disabled, and there are no other administrators. What do I need to do so that Microsoft Bing does not block my access to websites or f

  2. Family Safety restrictions despite no longer being in one

Hello to all who read this post.

10 years ago I used to be in a Microsoft Family Group with a parent as the head/adult of the group. Recently I was removed from that Family Group (I requested to be so). Despite that, I continue to have restrictions in both settings and on online. Certain websites will demand I must have permission from an adult in order to access the site (despite the fact I am an adult and no longer in a Family), and settings such as "permission and history" will not let me make any changes.

I am an admin on my own computer, am legally an adult, and no longer in a Family, yet still face Microsoft restrictions?

I have tried every single troubleshoot option offered here Microsoft Family Safety - Microsoft Support, contacted support (They could do nothing), and tried every setting in the permissions page and on Family settings.

Is there any way to override or no longer be bound by these restrictions?

  3. Windows 10 Family safety - child can disable all feature, why?

    Hi,

There may be a sync issue with the restrictions that has been applied to the child account. To isolate your concern regarding Family Safety, we recommend that you follow these steps:

    • Remove the Child account on the Family Safety website.
    • Change the passwords of your account.
    • Add the Child account again.
    • Add the restrictions to the Child account again.

Keep us updated with the results if your child will still be able to turn off the Family Safety feature after performing the steps above.
