Windows 10: Microsoft family safety screen time locked by random person and cannot be disabled.

Contacted support online results were1. useless2. wasted 2 hours transferring me 3 times 3. closed my case without solving anythingso I called instead, results1. directed me back onlineMy problem is that someone random added me to the family safety and put screen time lock on my device. I am also 20 years old. Online support asked me to logged into the parent account, but the parent account is a random I have no access to. I also have left the family group but still locked from my pc.

Windows 10 Family Safety: Time limits and screen locking

I recently set up my son's computer with family safety, and I have him limited to 3 hours of total screen time per weekday. I have told him that when he gets up to go outside, eat, or whatever to lock his computer - but it appears that the time he's away is counting toward his total time as well, which defeats the purpose of screen locking IMO. I've scoured Microsoft and the forums to see if screen lock time counts toward computer time in the family safety feature, but have found absolutely nothing. Does anyone out there know for sure, and if so can you post references?

Family Safety screen time stuck on old settings

• I set up family safety settings under windows 8.
• Configured screen time options to for only daytime, so as to prevent my son from using the computer too early or too late in the day.
• I've upgraded the computer to Windows 10 (live update, not a fresh install).
• Now I want to change the screen time settings for my son. Nothing I have attempted (short of clean install of Windows) has worked.
  • Changing time settings doesn't work
  • Turning off Screen Time doesn't help
  • Removing/Adding his account from family safety doesn't help
  • Removing/Adding the computer from family safety doesn't help
• I don't see a Windows Family Safety service running on the machine, which is odd.
• I really don't want to do a fresh Windows install.

Any suggestions are welcome.

 

[Family Safety] Is it possible to disable email notifications for "more time" requests?

Have had the same issue before please try the methods below I listed Disabling first and then removing family settings completely second if that is what your looking for.

Disabling Screen Time Requests:

You should be able to disable email notifications for screen time requests from the Microsoft Family website. Here's how:

Go to the Microsoft Family website (https://family.microsoft.com/).

Sign in with your Microsoft account.

Click on the "Manage family settings" button.

In the left-hand menu, click on "Notifications."

Under "Screen time requests," toggle the switch to "Off."

Click on the "Save" button to apply the changes.

This should disable email notifications for screen time requests. You should still be able to see and manage screen time requests using the Family app on your phone or tablet. If disabling does not work correctly most suggested blocking those emails.

Removing Family Settings Completely:

If you would like to remove family safety settings completely follow the steps below:

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps you regarding the family safety settings.

Turn off family settings in Windows 10

To turn off family settings for a child in your family, sign in at account.microsoft.com/family. Then choose one of these options:

Remove them from family settings by choosing Remove, then selecting their account, then selecting Remove again. They’ll still be able to sign in to their PCs, but this will remove any family limits that you set.

Or select them from the main family page, which will bring you to their Recent activity. If Activity reporting is turned On, turn it Off. Then repeat for the other settings pages (Web browsing, Apps, games & media, Screen time, Purchase & spending), making sure that those switches are turned Off.
