Microsoft Family Sharing ... stopped all of a sudden?

I purchased Forza 4 Deluxe last summer; installed it on my machine and my son's machine with no issue.

Additionally, we were able to play it just fine; however, a few months ago, his computer started saying it "wasn't installed".

Tried everything I could think of... removed him from family, added him back in, uninstalled Forza, forced re-installed forza.

Under my login, it appears just fine on his laptop, but on his laptop even part of my family says he doesn't own the game nor can he play it if I put a shortcut to the game location on his desktop.

I've asked Microsoft help -- and it was more like Unhelp.

    Requesting assistance.

    :)

  2. How to stop sharing folder for windows 10?

Referring to following link, I would like to know on how to stop sharing folder for windows 10.

I cannot find Stop Sharing option on step 5.

Use these steps to stop sharing any folder on Windows 10:

    1. Open Start.
    2. Search for Computer Management and click the top result to open the experience.
    3. Expand the Shared Folders branch from the left pane.
    4. Click the Shares item.
    5. Right-click the folder that you no longer want to share and the Stop Sharing option.
Furthermore, ADMIN$ is found to be Remote Admin under computer management.

There is no option to stop it as well.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop sharing and remote?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Microsoft Family Sharing ... stopped all of a sudden?

    Microsoft Family Screen Time

    Hi Laurel,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community forum.

This could happen when the child account fails to sync with the server. I suggest you to try the steps listed below and check if it works:

    • Open
      File Explorer
and navigate to the following location:
    • C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Parental Controls

      Note:
The above mentioned directory is hidden, copy and paste the same location on the search bar in the File Explorer to access it.
    • Delete the contents in the
      \\settings
directory of the Parental Controls folder.
    • Reboot the machine to see if the issue persists.

If the issue persists, you may want to remove the child account from Microsoft family and add it again.

    • To know how to remove an account from Microsoft Family, refer:

Remove members from your family group
    • To know how to add an account to Microsoft Family, refer:

Add members to your family group
