Hi guysI recently installed updates Windows 10 KB5046633 & KB5045935 on 14th of November 2024. After the update MS Teams would not open, when click button on toolbar and nothing happens. Also Microsoft Explorer just hangs up when opened on the toolbar, this need to be forcibly closed. Explorer works within apps or programs, I can open .pdf files within Adobe and navigate all folders but Microsoft Explorer cannot even open the C drive after clicking the MS ExTried a few restarts and no difference, seems likely the updates caused it as it happened after I agreed to install them this morning

Join Teams for work or school meeting with personal Microsoft account

Microsoft Teams Insider Blog: As a part of ongoing work to improve the experience when joining Teams meetings, we have just made a new update available for Teams Insiders. When using your personal Teams account to join a meeting that originated from a Work or School Teams account, you previously had to join as a guest, often causing your meeting to open in a web browser with limited functionality. Now you can join as your signed-in personal Microsoft account from within the Teams app on Windows 11, providing a better meeting experience for all parties. In the first phase of rolling out this new functionality, you will get the new experience when joining a Teams for work or school meeting from within Teams free by tapping a Teams for work or school meeting link in a chat or community within Teams free. Your signed-in personal Microsoft account will be used when you join the meeting.

    1. Go to app settings in Teams free

Based on your description, I know your requirement. Please be kindly to use Teams on the web(Log In | Microsoft Teams) to log in your account and check if you can successfully attend the meeting.

If you can successfully attend meeting In Teams on the web, it means there is something wrong with your Teams client. You can try the following suggestions.

    3. Uninstall your Teams and Re-install your Teams.
    4. If your Teams is not the latest, please update to the latest.

my microsoft team keep show that it run into an issue

    Hi Cheah,

    Greetings.

Thank you for raising your concern in this community.

Normally when you get this error, you should confirm first using teams on the web to see if there is nothing wrong with your account. Please use this link to do so. https://teams.microsoft.com/, also check your network connection.

After confirming that everything is fine from there, I would suggest you to clear your teams cache using this steps.

    • Log out of teams
    • Quit Microsoft Teams. Right-click the icon and select Quit.
    • Cut and paste the following location into File Explorer: %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams
    • Delete the contents of the entire folder.
    • Restart Microsoft Team
    • Login again.

After that sign in first using your education account.

I will follow up on this if you need further assistance.

    Regards,

    Mac
