    luckily my brand new Gateway laptop has a Windows repair option in the Bios so when you going to the sea moss setup you can choose Windows repair and it automatically boots to Windows troubleshooter. normally by holding the shift key apparently or the f8 key cuz I used to remember but none of those were working and I couldn't get into the boot menu no matter what and I've never seen Windows repair option in CMOS setup. so kudos to you Gateway and I'm glad that I bought you finally glad I bought this computer because I wasn't glad I bought it 6 months ago at walmart for $450.although I've n

    Microsoft Account PIN and password

    We appreciate the screenshot that you provided. to start troubleshooting the issue with you logins, we suggest that you follow the steps below on how login pin goes back to password:

    • Click Start menu and go to Settings.
    • In Settings, click the Accounts icon.
    • Click on Sign-in options.
    • Change both your password and pin one by one.
    Let us know how it goes.

    Locked out of Windows 10 & I don't know the PIN nor the password

    Here is the thing, I've forgotten my administrator account password and the PIN to log in to my laptop. Usually I use the fingerprint option but it said it couldn't recognize my fingerprint so now it requires the password or the PIN.

    I already triet booting in safe mode but everything requires a password that I don't know, even the Command Prompt.

    So basically I'm locked out.

    Any suggestions?

    PIN + Fingerprint but no password option?


    Preinstalled OS on new laptop w/fingerprint reader. Starting the machine I was prompted for a PIN and then my fingerprint but not a (the) password that I use on my Win7 machine and is required for various installed programs and the home network. I must be blind but Settings/Accounts/Sign-in Options is all for my MS account not the machine.

    Nothing under Settings/Privacy or /Updates and Security.

    Okay, I'll bite, where is 'give this OS a password' hidden?
