Windows 10: Microsoft Flight Simulator fatal error

Trying to get Microsoft Flight Simulator to work on this laptop but getting error saying shader model 6.7 not supported by this device, maximum shader model supported is 6.5 the get msg saying error initialising D3D12Renderer_Z. Microsoft Flight Simulator issue after Windows 10 Upgrade

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.



I suggest you to completely uninstall Microsoft Flight Simulator and check.

Refer the steps below to uninstall.

• Press “Windows key + X”, select Control panel.
• Open programs and features.
• In the list of installed programs, select Microsoft Flight Simulator, and then click
  Remove.

Note: If you have earlier versions of Flight Simulator in the list of installed programs, you will have to remove them in addition to Flight Simulator.



Reinstall the Flight Simulator.

FSX Fatal error mid flight

I Also forgot to add that the error message said fatal error Microsoft flight simulator has reached a fatal error FSX is automatically restarting. It cuts out the most over water and flying out of KDEN.
