    Microsoft Flight Simulator X and MegaScenery


    I have a client running Microsoft Flight Simulator X on Windows 10. He have bought MegaScenery Hawaii and no matter what I do FSX does not see the scenery files.

    He also have Prepar3D and it pick up the scenes with no problem.

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled the scenery files from source, try configure, removed scenery for FSX and added again but no joy.

    MegaScenery is installed on a dedicated 128GB SSD drive E: Windows, Program Files and Games installed on a128GB SSD C:

    Megascenery takes up about 96GB on E:

    I have downloaded several programs and they will not load correctly, yet when I try to load the program using a DVD it works fine.

    I am using a Windows 10 computer for Microsoft Flight Simulator X only. There is no additional security program running and it is only used to access Flight Simulator websites that I trust. The programs I am trying to download and install and Megascenery
    Earth and EditVoicePack programs that are secondary market additions to Flight Simulator. I was able to download programs from both websites but I am unable to install either one. When I attempt to install the Megascenery Earth files I get the ever spinning
    blue circle and I have waited up to 8 hours for the files to install. I was able to obtain DVDs with the files and they installed fine.

    The EditVoicePack file I was able to download and start, however after starting the program it only allows me to either repair or uninstall the program, which has not yet even been installed on the computer. It does not go to the install screen so I can
    start the install.

    There are no error messages for the Megascenery install attempts it just appears to get hung up and never does anything. I have attempted installing all the files as a user and as Administrator and I get the same result.

    Flight simulator x "fsx.exe" will not pin to start, but did pin to task bar in windows 10.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X fsx.exe file.
