Windows 10: Microsoft Flight Simulator X Steam Edition

I got this game from my brother before he passed away this summer. He had a steam account so I can't install the game cause it has a key code, and it won't let me install it. I can't get ahold of Steam, without paying the $5.00 so i was just wanting to see if someone out there can help. I have the card with the code but it's useless to me now. Please help.

Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition - Is a download available from Microsoft?

Can the Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition be downloaded from any site other than Steam? As in, from the Microsoft site?

 

Error starting Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

After downloading and installing Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition, I receive the following error when attempting to start the game:

"Failed to start process for Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition :

The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail."

I am unsure how to access the application event log, and I do not understand the error message. When attempting to contact Steam support, I was directed to the Microsoft webpage.

I'm currently running an 11th gen intel i7 @ 2.80GHz w/ 16GB Ram / 1T hard drive (nearly empty) and an NVIDIA GeForce MX330.

После последнего обновления приложения были перемещены по запросу системы.
Включая игру Microsoft Flight Simulator X Steam Edition.

аньше не было никаких проблем с отображением трафика IVAO_MTL через vpilot.
Теперь, после переустановки, нет отображения самолетов (видны только значки сигналов).
Как исправить?
