Windows 10: Microsoft forcing people to buy new computers

Can you tell me why a computer 2 years old won't run Win11? Is this typical Microsoft...force users to buy new computers when they can't afford to?

Your subject line reads "What is with Microsoft essentially trying to force people to buy windows 10". So far you did not say why you feel that you ae being forced into Windows 10. Or is it just that you have an axe to grind?

 

Why's Microsoft forcing me to buy a new PC?

Hi, I'm more than happy to upgrade to MS 10 from 7, but why, in this day and age of re-using, up-cycling and trying not to be a throw-away society is Microsoft forcing me to buy a new PC (well, I only use a laptop) - the one I have is in perfectly good
working order. I'm stamping my foot here! I don't want to buy a new piece of hardware for this one to end up in landfill. Thanks for your feedback (I'm new here!) Jac

 

People - New Contact

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you’re trying to import contacts from your
Live Account and Microsoft account to People app.

If yes, I suggest you to follow the steps to import contacts from the above mentioned accounts.

1. Open People app. Tap on Options menu
   (…) > Go to Settings.
   
2. Tap on Add an Account.
   
3. Next choose the Email account from which you want to import your contacts.
   
4. Enter your Email account credentials and sign in. Your contacts will be imported to People app.
