Hello. Just as I started typing this the laptop died again, so i booted up safe mode to try and reach for the minidump files, which are here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1V334rEcKYU562ViKA1deaf9_BnbTsiJY?usp=sharingAnd guess what: it crashes also in safe mode, and FASTER. It actually lasts less in safe mode than in regular boot before a BSOD.Reliability history shows, as well as indicated by matching times in event viewer, that GameInput is doing something. I don't even know what that is. Laptop was working fine many days ago. I haven't used it much. Only software I remember adding

    Microsoft GameInput Causing BSOD

    Hello,

I've been getting blue screens for about six months. And when I checked the reliability monitor, it showed that Microsoft GameInput was causing this problem. I searched on that issue but couldn't find a fix for it. I added the files to my minidump folder. Because of this problem, I don't want to use my Windows machines.

    Minidump: OneDrive

  3. Microsoft GameInput potentially causing Blue Screen of Death

PC often bluescreens playing games like Valorant, Fortnite, Cyberpunk 2077, or Rust. HWne checking reliability history, at the same time as the crash, every time, Microsoft GameInput has an event aswell. If it is not caused by Microsoft GameInput, is there any otehr way to diagnose the problem and fix it?

    GameInput by Microsoft

Microsoft GameInput crashes my PC all the time. Every time my PC crashes its always GameInput. This is tracked through windows 11 reliability and problem history. Infact, 19 game crashes in the past month are all GameInput. Its always the same thing, "Microsoft GameInput has successful application reconfiguration. As grand as it sounds, not sure why it says its successful, at what? Crashing my PC?? You got that right. I can sometimes fix this through an command line SFC /scannow, but every time windows updates, it's the same stupid problem. For the love Microsoft, your coding wizards should have had this problem licked. I have seen this on numerous forms as the problem.

Before you ask, yes, all my drivers are up to date via manufacturers website. I'm a gamer and an IT pro, so this is easily step 101. I've tried removing this service and the files associated with it by renaming the file, but it causes a PC reset. Whatever GameInput is supposed to be, its mislabeled, it should be PCcrasher. Sick of this service crashing my PC.
