Windows 10 Insider 10565 build not showing!

    Hey!

I'm part of the Windows 10 Slow ring insider preview program.

Microsoft released 10565 update to fast ring users and then was released to slow ring users.

Well i have been waiting and hitting that check for update button for few days for not and still not getting anything.

    Any suggestions!?

Thanks, I will join the Windows Insider's Slow Ring only to obtain the Gadgets app 4.4.1607.11000 4.3.1607.5001 update, but I'd like to refrain from the upgraded OS Current Branch or Preview versions as much as possible, staying on the production release
(stable release build 10.0.14393.67). Is it possible and how? As soon as I joined the Slow Ring, the Store apps have not been updated yet, but the phone did automatically download the 10.14393.103 upgrade. Is there any way to just get the Gadgets update via
Slow Ring and remain at the "official" 10.0.14393.67 AU build? If affirmative, please explain the procedure! Microsoft has released Windows 10 10041 to Slow ring users, 3 patches :)

when I originally got this to work i joined the fast ring. However things have moved on now so don't join the that ring unless you want to preview future 2017 release which is in its very early stages and had a number of issues. If the slow ring does not
work after 24hrs I suspect that Microsoft need to put this version of gadgets on the slow ring or the release preview.

    Ewan

Yet, why don't they just eventually release a functional Gadgets app upgrade (to the version 4.4.1607.11000 or higher) officially, i.e., via normal Store updates for the Production Ring, for the same operational version has obviously already circulated on
many Lumia smartphones and has been tested by the Fast and Slow Ring participants?

It's really an imprudent Microsoft's policy to force its users to enroll in a Slow or Release Preview Ring and get a workable app through the Windows Insider program (or, actually, to regain its previous operation subsequent to a regular Windows 10 Anniversary
Update). Not all the users are so enthusiastic to completely unnecessarily try out the more-or-less stable prerelease software; what is even better, they have to do it, for the time being, due to Microsoft's fault, exclusively to be able to update the firmware
of the other gadgets plugged in?! This indeed frustrates, for it greatly diminishes the overall product's impression and user experience...

Thus, is there any speculation when an official release of an upgraded Gadgets app version might be finally obtainable for the "common" users and, moreover, is there any official way to accelerate this issue with Microsoft? I'm not so sure any Microsoft's
Gadgets app developer really peruses this text... However, it's been almost two weeks since the Anniversary Update has reached the official distribution channels, and Aug. 30, 2016 is indeed scheduled as a "Patch Tuesday." I'm positive many users are similarly
    affected by the problem...

Finally, I'm really reluctant to remain in any of the rings merely because of this, and certainly do not want any preview release on my main machine!

Mine is d/l now here in the UK - 70% at midnight. Hope they've sorted out the bugs!

Edit: D/L finished about 15 mins ago - most things seem to be screwed up - went into updates and it's started to add more ! Let's see how that pans out.

I just finished a fresh install of build 10041 from the ISO from MS. As soon as I finish making a image I'll start adding my programs.

    Hi there

I'm happy with the ISO I made from the ESD file -- I think Update KB3046049 applies the fixes that have been incorporated into the "Slow" ring. Will be re-booting in about 5 mins to test -- main issue Transparency when you expand the start menu.

    Transparency problem ==> NOK

Anybody who has used the Official ISO -- is it fixed yet.

    Cheers

Taskbar fixed - it also means if you like using custom toolbars you can move it to Left next to the Windows Logo. (I've another thread on how to configure this including adding Metro apps and Internet links to the cascading menu displayed by the toolbar).

Note though - the Hide system icons box has been removed from the display settings -- if you apply the registry fix then the arrow doesn't work (as before) and the all aps is hidden again by the logo (as before) when you have an auto hide taskbar.

I've left the system icons to display on taskbar - not a biggy and I DO prefer the auto hide taskbar to work.

Screen shot of Custom toolbar next to windows logo at bottom left of screen.

    Cheers

I thought the the transparent start menu was a design feature and not a bug.

The way it works currently (showing all the rubbish behind) is a known bug.

    Hi there

If you look at the updates made for the SLOW ring that was one of the fixes mentioned - but it isn't obviously working yet (at least on my machine). Your link was the First set of notes when 10041 appeared originally for the Fast ring.

    Cheers
