  1. Microsoft has removed the ability to install HEVC for manufactures - help

MS has removed the ability to install this, which sucks. I have the files downloaded for offline usage, but when trying to install it with: ' Add-AppxPackage [file name] ', it fails saying "The package can only be installed on the following device families: Windows.Xbox".

Does anyone know a fix for this? Side loading is enabled.

"HEVC Video Extensions from Device Manufacturer" installed on computer but missing from Microsoft Store list

I checked Microsoft Store again. HEVC Video Extensions from Device Manufacturer still doesn't appear on the update list. I ran updates anyway, and it was updated, along with Microsoft Solitaire Collection and a few other apps.

The new version number for HEVC Video Extensions from Device Manufacturer is 1.0.31823.0, which contains the patch. Issue resolved.

Why is it no longer available? Does MS plan to make it available again? It was available up until about a month ago.
