I upgraded 3 computers of same type but different serial numbers...all 3 have same activation key

    Thank you.

Microsoft seem to be getting more confusing in their version numbers and names etc. It is known as the Fall Update, the online Media Creation Tool will create version 1511 install media (the RTM was version 1507)

however version 1507 was Build 10240 (see the confusion)

version 1511 is currently with the Insiders as build 10586.

so keep an eye out for version 1511 or build 10586 or Fall Update

    or

I notice your profile shows you as an Insider, (don't know why mine doesn't, been an insider for nearly a year) you could switch on new builds and move the slider to fast ring, download build 10586 and activate it with your windows 7 key, switch of new builds
    if you wish.

Does that mean November 10? The Insiders get it now and next Tuesday the adopters get it? Any word on the actual date for W10 Fall Update ( W10 FU - this is still the MS official name).

  12. Will this update be pushed out in increments over the Fall season? The first day of Winter is December 22nd. I wonder what Microsoft calls this update for Southern Hemisphere customers?

Microsoft has signed off build 10586 as the 'Fall Update'

Now that MS has announced the end of the GWX Reserve campaign, I expect those who have not yet received W10 will be starting off with 1586. Servers are going to get a work out - 120 million PCs to update plus all the W7/8 users that have WU set to receive optional updates as they receive recommended updates. And of course all the millions of pirates getting their W10 updates as well. Rock and Roll.
