I have gotten my acer laptop without OS and I installed Windows pro. Now I have to activate my windows by entering a product key, but MICROSOFT has stopped selling windows 10 product key. Microsoft store is the only genuine platform to buy windows 10 product key. So where can I buy windows product key? Thanks in advance.

1. First check if your computer manufacturer supports and supplies 8.1 drivers for your exact model number.

2. Microsoft no longer sells 8.1 and has not done so for years.

They are governed by their own Policy.

I need to use Windows 8.1 because 10 is incompatible with some programs that are essential to me.

I just bought a new PC and installed Windows 8.1 and now I need a product key. Microsoft refuses to sell me one. I tried buying from G2A, but the key did not work, then I tried hundreds of random keys posted online and they either did not work or said they
were for a different edition of Windows. I just want to be able to buy a standard Windows 8.1 product key. It's like Microsoft does not want money.....it wont force me to buy Windows 10....if push comes to shove I will just use Linux.

Can all types of microsoft partners sell windows with a product key? I know to look for a COA, but how can you verify if someone is legal to sell in the first place? Is there a way to check if someone is really a microsoft partner before buying from them?
