Tick toc Tick toc. That's the bad thing about MS, they are on the west coast so their alarm clocks haven't even gone off yet.

The problem is Microsoft indirectly promised quick turn-around in order to get end user feedback in the whole process so they could hone the OS in near real-time. Months in-between releases will just not get good user feedback. I don't have much confidence that this will be much more than Microsoft's miopic vision like Windows 8 - at the rate it is going. And I predict either the final release will be late, or a bit disappointing (hopefully not both).

I'm thinking that all of these delays could be due to the pending drop dead/release date for Win10. Let's face it .. The higher ups at Redmond have set that drop dead date already and the developers are racing to meet that as their primary objective. Now add in the attempt to drop previews into the mix and it adds just ciaos to the situation. So, I'm guessing that the previews are on the back burner for the time being so the drop dead date can be met. When your boss tells you it has to be done by a certain date you do it.

It's called Windows 10 Technical Preview
    preview
    [pree-vyoo]
    noun

    1. an earlier or previous view.

    2. an advance showing of a motion picture, play, etc., before its public opening.

    3. an advance showing of brief scenes in a motion picture, television show, etc., for purposes of advertisement.

    4. anything that gives an advance idea or impression of something to come.

And your point is?? I'm not trying to be nasty or anything but the preview is secondary to the main goal of getting Win10 ready for public release. While it's nice to play with a preview I want them to work on the development for the final release,, hopefully this summer.. June/July?? *Wink

My point is/was the word preview is just an advanced impression, and there are so many threads dedicated to whens the next build, and you said
so I just showed that I agree, because O.K we have an impression of what's coming, now they're problem getting down to the nitty-gritty and preparing the RTM. Even after it comes out, they'll probably still work on some of recommendations from the users for future update. Windows 10 is supposed to be the last "version" so it will remain a construction site for years to come with evolving technologies.
