Windows 10: Microsoft Hotmail email id sign on query

I am having an old laptop with Windows 10 and signed in it with a Microsoft Hotmail email idMS Office, MS Teams are also associated with this email idLast week, I brought a new laptop also with Windows 10. Can I use the same email id mentioned above to sign in to the new laptop and set it up whilst being signed in to the old laptop as well? I have created a new Hotmail email id to sign in to the new laptop and set it upPersonally though, I would like to continue my old Hotmail email id for signing in to the new laptop as wellWill it affect anything if I use the old Hotmail email id on both my

  By closing the account, are you referring to closing the email ID or the account set up with the Hotmail account in your computer?
  

Please be informed that "Microsoft account" is the new name for what used to be called a "Windows Live ID." It could either be a Hotmail or an Outlook account as all those are the same.
Your Microsoft account is the combination of an email address and a password that you use to sign in to services like Outlook.com, OneDrive, Windows Phone, or Xbox LIVE. If you use an email address and password to sign in to these or other services,
you already have a Microsoft account—but you can also sign up for a new one at any time.

If your computer is currently set up with the Hotmail account (first account), please be informed that you will have to log in using that account and you can create a new user account with a new MS account if you want to switch to a different account.
