Windows 10: Microsoft in Australian Homes ?

Is Australia ever going to get the surface duo ?


Is Australia likely to get home automation from via Microsoft ?


When one talks with people, the only words they know are google and amazon ?

Australian Keyboard

Couple points:

First I doubt that is the case with Telstra. Unlike Vodaphone,
Telstra does not have an overseas head corporate selling a version of their phone in a different country. And since Telstra uses different hardware compared to the UK Mozarts, the additional costs of getting those made up is already there.

Secondly (and more importantly) I'm looking at an unlocked version of the emulator here (ie: before any OEM selections) and Microsoft simply doesn't provide an option for Australia, New Zealand or Canada (English). Telstra can request it until the cows come
home, but how can HTC provide it if Microsoft doesn't offer it?

Microsoft offers:

• English (United Kingdom)
• English (United States)
• French (Canada)

And then a bunch of other languages, I don't want any of these. On the PC, Microsoft specifically offer Australian choices (to be exact we use a US keyboard layout with an Australian Dictionary in products such as office. Spot on). The difference on the
phone of course is that the dictionary and keyboard are one, a US keyboard layout with its accompanying dictionary is unacceptable, we require an Australian one. Ditto for New Zealanders and Canadians (and others I'm sure)

I think Laura had it right, there is just no way we can achieve this for now. My understanding is that only Microsoft can create new keyboard languages, OEMs like HTC can only pick and choose from that list and hide the rest. If thats the case then I hope
devs at Microsoft add these in, and while that doesn't guarantee current phones will get fixed, maybe future ones will.

 

Cannot set home button icon Microsoft Edge

but your suggestion did not work.When i turn off home button in Edge and re-open Edge and turn on home button ...the home icon appears but fades away when Edge is re-opened.

I even uninstalled Edge and re-installed Edge following a fellow members suggestion tutorial but this step did not work either.

Very strange
