    Microsoft-introduced ERRORS

Over the last few months, Microsoft have forced updates on users which have resulted in some messages being displayed.

I reer of course to the "restart required..." and "you need to update your account..." messages.

Microsoft have tried to fob us off with actions which WE have to take, which don't work, when what they should be doing is putting out a delivery of an update to correct these ERRORS.

I call them errors because that is what they are.

I speak to you as someone who has spent over 30 years in the computer industry, mostly in a support role, sending out updates and managing change.

If I had forced out deliveries which caused MY customers a load of grief, well, I'm sure I wouldn't have completed anywhere near 30 years in the industry!

Now, my Microsoft account is working perfectly well, thank you, and I do not need to update it.

Similarly, I have performed a large number of restarts, and still get the message telling me that a restart is required.

Now it is high time that Microsoft stopped abusing its dominant position, and stopped treating its customers with contempt, and sorted out these errors.

Well, a few days now and no replies.

But then, you can't defend the indefensible, can you?

If MS don't wish to comment, at least incorporate a "don't show this message again" option in the two examples I referred to above - and ensure that the system acts on it!
