Windows 10: Microsoft is controlling my PC against my will. How can I stop them?

I have a newish PC on which I installed Microsoft Windows 11 Home currently up-to-date 23H2. I've followed all of the Microsoft and other online guides about which settings to change and registry entries to edit to stop Microsoft from restarting my PC without my permission. However, it has spontaneously restarted twice in the last couple years, against my will and without my permission. These restarts were triggered my Microsoft's logic built into the OS not a power outage or hardware fault with the PC - i.e. they were effectively triggered by Microsoft.How can I stop this unethical

Can’t connect Xbox one controller to pc

Initially, we need to pair the device to show up in the list while connected through Bluetooth. Check with the below mentioned steps and see if it works.

What controller for PC?

I'm looking for a wireless, rechargeable controller for PC gaming. (like PS or Xbox controllers)

I was thinking of getting xbox one for pc cus it's from microsoft so it would be good for gaming but it is pretty expensive. The wireless controller and rechargeable battery needs to be bought separately too.

I've seen some logitech one and others. So which would you suggest?
I want a cheap but still good for the price controller. *Smile

 

PC hast stopped recognizing controllers

I understand that you are having problems regarding the Xbox controller in your Windows not working properly and I am very sorry for this discomfort. I will try to help you in the best possible way.

I suggest the following steps:

Press Windows + X keys and choose Device Manager.

Click once on USB Controllers;

click Action and after Add Legacy Hardware;

Click next;

Click Install hardware that I manually select from a list (advanced);

Select USB Controllers;

select a controller from the left list;

select the option available from the right list;

Go ahead and wait for completion.

Restart your computer and check if the behavior persists.

If the above steps don't work, visit the device manufacturer's website and look for the specific USB driver or chipset driver for your device.

Xbox App

Search for the Microsoft app "Xbox Accessories" in the Microsoft Store and install it.

Open the App.

Connect the Xbox X Wireless Controller using a USB cable or the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows.

When the controller is connected, you will see the message "Update required" if there is an update required. Install the update.
