Windows 10: Microsoft is ruining customer property

When Microsoft will stop ruining the customer's property? I had updates that came on my computer this morning, and it ruined my computer. It is the second computer damaged with Microsoft updates.Microsoft updates have to be turned off if you would like to keep your computer in working condition.The customer service does not provide any proper support like always. The computer does not boot even with the USB. Can just go and buy another one, thank Microsoft updates. I hope they have enough liability insurance to pay back for the customer property they ruined.

Microsoft Properties

Hi Greg,

I followed your Task Manager steps and restarted the computer but the issue was still there.

Then I went to the first link you suggested and saw the options available. I elected to go to Microsoft Support to see if they had any File Explorer options available and they did. I downloaded the Mighty File Explorer. Using it, I checked the Properties
of the external drive in question and it was able to see and list the size of the folder correctly! Thank you for your time. This solves the issue.

If you see a need for me to explore the other recommendations that you gave, let me know.

Can't see Customize tab in Folder Properties

We understand your concern as the Customize tab missing from properties menu.

In this scenario, we would suggest you to perform the below registry changes. Before proceeding, please create a restore point before performing the steps to be on the safer side, refer this article to

create a restore point

Note: Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly.
Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

Follow the steps to take backup of registry.

1. Press Windows + R key to launch
   Run command.
   
2. Type regedit and click OK.
   
3. Navigate to this location: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ Directory \ shellex \ PropertySheetHandlers
   
4. Check if this particular key is present:
   {ef43ecfe-2ab9-4632-bf21-58909dd177f0}
   
5. If it’s present, then check if there is any space or incorrect character in the key.
   
6. Then right click on it and delete. If the key is missing, then proceed with step 6 to create a key
   
7. Then right click PropertySheetHandlers and select
   New, then click on Key.
   
8. Copy and paste the key
   {ef43ecfe-2ab9-4632-bf21-58909dd177f0}, then press enter.
   
9. Close the registry and check the folder properties menu.

Printer Properties

I suggest you to follow the below steps how to go to printer settings.

• In the search box type “control panel”.
• Click on “device and printers”.
• Then you can right click on your printer and then click on properties, change accordingly.
