Windows 10: Microsoft Journal wrongly imports PDFs

Hello there,I am using MS Journal as my note taking app.However, when I want to insert a PDF no matter its resolution per page, white borders are placed. When exporting my journal to PDF, those white borders are still there.Page on software grey backgroundDF when exported annotated to show what the PDF file should be:This is frankly annoying. The app is really good and I would really enjoy to have a better importing experience on it.If you have any suggestions about that please let me know !

Should I be able to use interactive pdfs in Microsoft Journal?

Microsoft Journal is primarily designed for freehand note-taking and drawing on digital devices such as the Surface Pro.

Journal allows you to insert a copy of a PDF into your notes and mark it up with ink. However, it does not mention anything about interactive PDFs or hyperlinks. It seems that Journal is not designed to support interactive PDFs at this time.

While you can insert PDF files into Microsoft Journal, it primarily treats them as static documents and does not provide full support for interactive elements like hyperlinks or form fields. The interactive features of your PDF planner may not function as expected within Microsoft Journal.

If you need to use interactive PDFs with working hyperlinks, you may want to consider using a dedicated PDF reader or annotator app that supports interactive elements.

Incorrect rendering of jpg/png files inserted in Journal files using Microsoft Print to PDF

Sorry. Your suggestion didn't help. I want to tell you the following:

(1) When I import those scanned png files into a Journal note, they appear with correct scaling in Journal without a problem. When I print it as a pdf file, and view that pdf file using Edge or some other app to view that pdf file, they are incorrectly
scaled.

(2) Everything worked without any problem when I use the previous version of Journal under Windows 7.

That's why I concluded that there is a problem of the pdf rendering part of the Journal of the current version. It is not a problem of the scanned png files, it is the problem of the pdf rendering of the Journal.

• Which build and version of Windows 10 are you using?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
