Windows 10: Microsoft keeps sending me 4-Digit Code

I keep receive suspicious 4 digit access codes every few minutes via SMS. The strange thing is that the code always contains the same numbers. I changed the password on my accounts that are associated to a microsoft account, but i keep getting these messages.Is there anything else I can do?

Needed to change my cell number to new number security says need to verify by text then enter code but didn't have that cell any longer so waited 6 months finally was able to add new cell number but they wanted to verify by sending me a text with code
"4 digits" but page requires 7 digit code have received to codes but both were 4 digits?

 

Child Account 2 factor authentication not sending code

My child's Microsoft account is trying to send him a code. The email option is to my old hotmail account which not longer exists. (moved to outllook). My cell number has the correct last 2 digits and when I enter the full 4 digits it tells me they are unable
to send code to that number. I am stuck with no way to do the authentication. Suggestions on how to receive the code would be great. Thank You.

 

How do I get a 7 digit code to reinstall windows 10

Please follow these steps:

• Open the Settings App, go to Accounts
• You should see the "Verify" link just above your picture
• Check your Email to see if Microsoft have sent you a 7 digit code
• Enter the 7 digit code when asked
