Windows 10: Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator MSKLC

I would like to know who to contact and how to deliver this information to the appropriate personnel.I have used Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator to add Esperanto characters to various keyboard layouts.However, it seems that the future of Windows for most users will be Windows ARM. I would like them to update this application to work with and create corresponding installers for the new ARM architecture in Windows. So far, I have not encountered any issues, as one can obtain the Windows registry written by the installer created by MSKLC and compile the code generated by kbdutool.exe, and with

I appreciate your efforts on this. I see that you are using Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator to create keyboard layouts. I would like to inform that this is an old program, which was initially designed to work on Windows XP computers.



Good to know that the program is working for you. One of the thing I would suggest you to try is to change the description of the keyboard layout that you have created and see if that helps. Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Open Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator.
   
2. Click on File and load the keyboard layout.
   
3. Click on Project, and click on
   Properties.
   
4. Change the Description of the keyboard layout.
   
5. Click on OK.
   

If this doesn’t work, you may try rebuilding the DLL and Setup Package. After rebuilding the DLL and Setup Package go to Start >> Settings >> Time & Language >> Language >> Click on the language pack and select
options, now click on the old keyboard layout and select
Remove.

Switching y and z around with the microsoft IME layout

It seems like you're struggling with the QWERTY layout while using the Microsoft Input Method Editor (IME) and you'd like to switch to your preferred QWERTZ layout. Unfortunately, the Microsoft IME doesn't offer a simple setting to change the keyboard layout from QWERTY to QWERTZ.

However, you can consider the following workaround:

Customize the Keyboard Layout with Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator (MSKLC):

As you've mentioned, you can use the Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator (MSKLC) to create a custom keyboard layout. However, you've experienced crashes when using this method. This might be due to compatibility issues, especially if you're running a newer version of Windows.

Here's a modified approach:

1. Download and install MSKLC.
   
2. Open MSKLC and load the existing keyboard layout you want to modify (File > Load Existing Keyboard).
   
3. Swap the Y and Z keys as needed.
   
4. Go to Project > Properties and give your layout a name and description.
   
5. Go to Project > Build DLL and Setup package. This will create a setup package for your custom keyboard layout.
   
6. Run the setup package to install your custom keyboard layout.
   
7. Restart your PC.
   
8. Once your PC has restarted, you should be able to select your custom keyboard layout in the language settings.
