Windows 10: Microsoft keyboard problem with capital G

Can't type capital G using shift key on brand new wired Microsoft keyboard I have to use capslock to get capital G; this is not a multimedia keyboard. can anyone advise me?

Wireless Keyboard won't always shift capital letters

Ok glad you found a fix, I have a Logitech wireless keyboard, and have no problems using the shift capital letters to work.

I suggest you to check if the issue persists when you connect another keyboard to your system.

If the issue is with the keyboard, then suggest you to update the keyboard drivers by following the steps below.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager from the list.
  
• 
  Expand ‘Keyboard’ from the list.
  
• 
  Right click on the driver and select ‘update driver software’ and follow the prompts.

automatic capitalization of words when entering password

Thank you, Sangeeta for your response. I went to device manager and found no issues or warnings for keyboards, or any other device. I right clicked "keyboard" and it asked to scan for hardware changes. I clicked the "hardware changes" area and it quickly
checked (I guess) because nothing happened. Before I asked the question about auto capitalization to the community, I went to the web and searched for Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard Issues. Step 2 under "the keyboard is not functioning" suggests I was to Download
and install the latest keyboard software, which I did. (I did this step before going to the Community and found the Ctrl Z fix). Hopefully I won't have that problem again.
