Windows 10: Microsoft laptop 2 will not boot after upgrade on windows 11

I have a Microsoft Laptop 2. Windows 11. Recently it had an upgrade. After the upgrade was completed and It restarted, the computer started to overheat, so I shut it down immediately. I tried to turn the computer back on after about half an hour and nothing would happen. You can see a backlit blue screen turn on when I press the power button, but it would just flicker on and off like it wants to turn on, but nothing happens. No logo, nothing. I really didn't want to have to through this laptop away, especially since it's a really nice laptop! I did recently buy the new Microsoft surfac

This doesn't list the "Surface Laptop", but you might give it a try to see.

Core 2 Duo for laptop CQ40-314TU

I have found something about CPU Upgrade on the Intel's Website, the manufacturer of my laptop's chipset (GM45 Chipset). Currently, the CPU which this laptop is using (Dual Core T3400) is NOT in this list: http://ark.intel.com/chipset.aspx?familyID=35509
The laptop's chipset also support Core 2 Extreme Technology, which I think the latest CPU Technology.
I have another laptop called Acer Aspire 5572ANWXMi that is using the chipset 945GM which support the T7600 (like you suggested) and it is in this list: http://ark.intel.com/chipset.aspx?familyID=22816

 

Windows 8 Upgrade Streamlined to 11 Clicks

For those who upgrade between succeeding versions of Microsoft Windows, the upgrade installer can be cumbersome. There are way too many prompts and clicks. Microsoft is working to make the upgrade package of its next major version of Windows, for now referred to as Windows 8, streamlined to as few as 11 clicks. The new installer will be designed to perform most of its tasks without needing user input.

Microsoft will implement a new web-delivery method, where you purchase your Windows 8 license online, and the installer downloads your soft copy to you. It is pre-fed with your 25-character product key. Microsoft's next major Windows release is slated for 2012.
