It's true, W10 has been very stable lately, even the Insider builds are performing well, BTW, I like the 50000 USD idea*Wink

I agree.. I want the patches ASAP and not like it was before when it took so long to get them.

One thing I like about 10 is, I usually don't know I've been updated(a fix or cumulative) unless either I happen to look at Reliability History or Frank has PM'd me when I have late shift so I know when I get home.

I get PM's from Frank as well. And I'm very pleased with the new approach MS has taken with 10 so it's a constant evolving OS and it's not a rather static slow to evolve and get patches.

    Keep it up MS!!

Check with a mod or an admin and see what they say you can/should do in the future. It's what I would do just to be safe.

I think I'm not explaining myself.

The oldes here will remember how companies used to work a few years ago. They developed a new version of some software, and they just polished it until it was 99,9% perfect. Then, they released that software being sure that it was the final version. Yeah, of course, some revisions happened on the way, but now we are on a kind of constant patching in every type of software.

It happens in OSs, but also in mobile apps. You're getting constant patches and fixes. Is like: developers, have you tested enough the software before getting it released, or are you a victym of app consumism and want it to be out ASAP in order to be available?

These days it is absolutely impossible for Microsoft to test for every type of computer(desktops, netbooks, laptops, smart phones, Raspberry Pi, and now the multitude of IoT(Internet of Things)) there will be conflicts with hardware and other in stalled software. So Microsoft will have to patch, when bugs are found and fixed. This is what GNU/Linux users have had for years, and what has made their OSs so safe and stable.

Whilst I have supported Insider versions, I do find the recent frequent releases to fix just bugs to be rather annoying.

I would prefer to wait a bit longer eg they rush out new upgrades with some fairly major known issues which seems pointless to me. To me, too frequent is as bad as too infrequent (even on the fast ring).

MS do not seem to have the balance correct. Given we have a wonderful slider to select between fast and slow ring, pehaps we could have a 'medium ring' ie we could easily decline an update if we feel it is not worth it, but still update more frequently than on the slow ring.

Major issues!!! you must be running a different O/S than I. the latest Insider version is running better than my RTM.
As for an adjustable slider, next thing you will expect the Insider O/S to have hot coffee and toast ready first thing in the morning.
Bugs of course there are bugs....why else would M$ run the insider program?...what would be the point.

This is exactly what Insider program is for. Don't use it on your daily driver as there are a number of unfixed issues with each release.

I just play with it in vmware.

I don't know if I'm being able or not to explain what I'm saying. But let's give a final chance.

Ok, I'm not on any beta/insider/tester channel for any software. But, anyways, and talking in general, almost EVERY SINGLE PROGRAM is getting tons of patches, updates and upgrades per mont no matter what patform are you using. Again: talking in general. It happens in Android, in Windows, etc...

I'm just expressing that feeling of us, users, being now constantly testing unfinished versions of almost any kind of software.
