Really?? I worked IT for many years and we never had that kind of luxury of getting things 99.9% perfect, ever. We had to get it ready for the drop dead date and then we worked on bugs the very next day.

Where did you work as an IT developer and got this kind of time to do all of this testing???

  2. I remember windows 98 and XP coming out with loads of errors and bugs.
No OS will be bug free not apple, or Android.
In fact Apple has just released an update not long ago for their IPhone 6 and some members are having problems with it

The Windows Insider Program is designed to let those who are technically inclined to provide feedback to Microsoft in exchange for an early look at features that may be coming.

If one wants a stable version of Windows 10 then the Insider program is not for you.*cry

  6. When you post a link if you find the insert link function isn't that reliable like on a lot of forums just copy and paste the link in the body of your post with HTML url start and stop tags and no spaces at each end i.e.

    right ,
I wouldn't leave a test build as my only OS or without user data /file folder/media file back ups or a system image , either way test builds can go south at any time ( so can any Windows OS and other OS in general ) and over the last year or so we've had some Insider builds with serious issues while the previous build was mostly fine you never know how the next flight is going to be ( or what the next update may break on any OS ) .*Smile

IOW if you aren't prepared just stay with a normally activated Windows 10 or something else and leave the test driving to us ! ☻☻

Copyright laws are different in different countries. In the US, you cannot copy an entire article wholesale without permission, regardless of whether you credit it or not. The US has something called Fair Use, which allows you to legally use an except, but not the whole thing.

I understand that other countries have different laws, but you cannot give such advice to people in a forum where everyone is from a different country.

When a program is destined to use on payroll, accounting, inventory or billing you can't implement a sloppy bunch of work with errors in it. A good testing plan to uncover errors should be followed with no shortcuts. If the business has changed I would be shocked that some companies I know about would put up with it, especially when they're sending out millions of bills every month or banking information.

Core things are painstakingly tested and bug free. But lots still have bugs.

Just out of curiosity.. what is your programming/IT experience??

I understand that it may have seemed that way, but in reality it never was...Microsoft lays more foundations for Redstone Windows 10 Build 14257 ;) I started my experience in the 80's and back then the entire global annual computer market was < 6 million sales per year...and C= reached a peak of 1 million Amiga sales annually in the late 80's...back then, software for MS-DOS machines (and they were all incompatible with each other back then!) came on floppies, memory was incredibly tiny by today's standards and hard drives were just becoming available for consumers. The C= Amiga in ~1988 was the only commercially available home computer that supported preemptive multitasking ROOB. I remember one game developer writing and saying he "couldn't imagine writing a game that might take an entire 1.44MB floppy disk," for instance. Programs and environments back then were at least an order of magnitude simpler than is the case today.

Today we have preemptive multitasking environments everywhere, gigabytes of 64-bit wide ram, and terabytes of hard drive space--processors with 2,4,8 + more cores, GPUs with literally hundreds/thousands of cores--all kinds of stuff going on that simply didn't apply in the old days...Microsoft lays more foundations for Redstone Windows 10 Build 14257 ;) When I think of how much more complex the environment is today I sometimes think it's a wonder that developers get out the software that they do...but today we've also got much better languages, compilers, you name it. I have a lot of nostalgia for those days because we were all working by the seat of our pants and it was a heck of a good time--but would I want to return? Not on your life...Microsoft lays more foundations for Redstone Windows 10 Build 14257 ;) It's so much better today...in every way...
