Windows 10: Microsoft LifeCam VX-1000 Webcam & Microsoft Windows 10

Drivers, drivers, drivers.... Problems, problems, problems... I bought this Microsoft LifeCam Webcam, model VX-1000, somewhere around 2007., for about 45 euro. Its a nice looking device with a functional design. However, problems with the drivers are never ending story with this webcam; Window 7, 8, 8.1 and I suppose it will never end with Windows 10, since Windows 11 is scheduled before the end of this year. Hey lads out there, Microsoft software Windows 10 should be compatible with Microsoft hardware Microsoft LifeCam VX-1000 Webcam. Drivers for this webcam Hardware ID: USB\VID_045E&

Windows 10 driver for LifeCam VX-1000

I need a webcam for online classes. I have a LifeCam VX-1000 but cannot find a driver suitable for windows 10. Suggestions?

1) Download .cab (I've used Microsoft - Communication Device - Microsoft LifeCam VX-1000 for Win7)

2) Unzip it.

3) Install driver manually from unziped folder

Does not work with windows camera app, but works with 3-d side apps
