Windows 10: Microsoft lifecame hd 3000 still not working.driver says error and cam won't work.is this...

How to get my life came to work as drivers say error.ment to be plug and play but no such thing.how can I get a compatible driver.just seems like everyone is getting ripped of as it's not compatible on windows 10

LifeCam HD-3000 stopped working after Windows 10 Anniversary Update

Back in September 2015 I had a similar problem: Microsoft's LifeCam HD-3000 webcam stopped working when I 'upgraded' from Windows 7 to Win 10. However, a thread on Windows Ten Forums solved the problem. *Party

So I've been a happy camper for the last 17 month. That is until the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. At least I am pretty sure that's when the LifeCam stopped working. The cam itself does not seem to be the problem--the little blue light comes on when it is engaged, the LifeCam software boots up fine, but, unfortunately, this is what I see:





The webcam is appropriately connected to a USB 2.0 port and, according to Windows, it is functioning properly:





The webcam also does not work via the Windows 10 Camera app, and on a video chat site (black screen on both).

Microsoft Lifecam HD 3000 windows 10 driver

Hello, my name is Bradford, I'm an Independent Advisor for the Microsoft Community and I will try to assist you. Post, Windows 7, there are no signed drivers for the Lifecam HD 3000, however, built into Windows there is a generic webcam driver that might
get your Lifecams working again.

Please follow these steps:

1. Open "Device Manager".

2. Expand "Imaging devices".

3. Locate the name of your "Lifecam HD 3000 camera" in the list and right-click on it.

4. Select Update Driver Software.

5. Click Browse my computer for driver software.

6. Click Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

7. Check Show compatible hardware, and then select "USB Video Device".

8. Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions to update the driver.

Installing a Microsoft Lifecam-HD 3000

I'm trying to install my Microsoft Lifecam-HD-3000 Cam but I get message "There is no camera connected to this computer". Yet the cam shows in Device manger and in my Hardware. I've uninstalled, gotten the latest Drivers and software. I'm on Windows 7
(service Pack 2; 64 bit). The cam worked when i was using the FREE Manycam (virtual webcam) in conjunction with mt Lifecam, however once I subscribed to Manycams $47 Lifetime Membership the cam now does not work.

I'm LOW tech and spent 2 weeks on this. Someone, anyone please HELP.
