Windows 10: Microsoft login for office desktop takes 5m+

Hallo,I'm running Windows 11 23H2 although the same issue is in 22H2, and when logging into any Microsoft service office, xbox, ect it takes 5 min+ to load. I enter my email & password, then after pressing enter on the password it shows "Please wait" or similar for 5 mins. I have tried with & without a VPN. How do I fix this?

Windows 10 upgrade, where is my Microsoft Office?

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below:

• Type “Programs and Features” in the search box and press Enter.
• Check if Microsoft Office application is listed in the list of installed applications.
• If it is listed, then navigate to This PC>Local disc (C>Windows.old.
• Check if the Office application is present there.
• If still not found, then suggest you to install the application using the installation media.

I suggest you to perform Safe Mode with Networking and then try to change the password.

Method 1: Safe mode.

Please follow below steps:

    Click on power button at left bottom corner, press and hold
    Shift key and click on Restart.
    
  • 
    Click on Troubleshoot.
    
  • 
    Click on Advanced options.
    
  • 
    Click on Startup Settings.
    
  • 
    Click on Restart.
    
  • 
    Login to Microsoft Account and create a new administrator account.
    

If you’re not able to login using Microsoft account then refer to below steps and check if it helps.

Method 2:
Activate Inbuilt Administrator Account.

Follow the below steps:

• • 
    Click on power button at left bottom corner, press and hold
    Shift key and click on Restart.
    
  • 
    Click on Troubleshoot.
    
  • 
    Click on Advanced options.
    
  • 
    Click on Command Prompt and enter following command.
    
    net user Administrator /active:yes
    

Now reboot your system and login to inbuilt admin account and try to reset password for other account. Once you reset password login to other account and to deactivate inbuilt admin account enter following command in elevated command prompt.

net user Administrator /active:no
